SEASONAL EATING – providing you with optimal nutrition month after month:

Seasonal eating refers to buying and eating foods at their nutritional best for a particular time in the year. There was a time when seasonal eating was a universal action; we had no choice but to eat this way. This changed with the introduction of the globalised food market, which has given us the convenience of buying any food at any time of the year.  Some fruit and veg can only be grown in certain seasons. When buying off-season, you’re likely purchasing items that were picked weeks or months earlier.

Since produce starts to lose nutrients shortly after being picked, out of season options will have lower nutritional values.  If you want to be at your physical and mental best to gain a strong competitive edge you can include foods that are in season to boost your intake of high quality nutrients.  We use the following guide with all our elite athletes to ensure they are getting the most from their food choices nutritionally.  This guide applies to seasons in the UK and Ireland.  To maximize your nutrient intake, buy the guide now for just £4.99:
